When purchasing a new home, buyers ask about the condition of many items such as the electrical, plumbing, roof, HVAC, and the foundation. Many never ask about mold, which is quickly becoming of the major causes of needed home repairs or renovations.

Mold can manifest itself in many forms. All types of mold need the same things to grow, moisture and dark spaces. Areas like this include attics, crawl spaces, and basements. These areas are prone to moisture problems through the lack of ventilation or leaks from the structure or the plumbing. Mold will not only cause structural problems with the home, but also have health implications to you and your family.

When mold becomes visible on the homes interior, it’s time to call in the professionals. It is highly likely that if the mold is visible, the structural components of the home are likely covered in mold. A professional certified in mold can treat and make the needed repairs to remove the mold from the home.

When checking for mold, you should consider using a moisture meter or an infrared camera. If moisture levels of 20% or higher are found your home is considered vulnerable to mold growth.

Resolved Question: Which one: Brunch or dessert reception?
We’re getting married May 29th, 2010 in Central Florida. Its not usually excruciatingly hot yet, although it seems to get hotter every year! Anyway, we’re getting married outside, on our church’s property- on the lakefront, probably next to a giant oak tree. I was hoping to do a sunset wedding, which would put our ceremony time around 7:30-7:45. Is any later too late for a ceremony? Then I was hoping to do a light reception in the church, with finger foods and desserts, like fruit trays, a chocolate fountain, cheesecakes, and of course the wedding cake, etc. Would it be better to have a brunch reception? Is this going to be too late? It would be hotter in the day if we tried to do a brunch wedding/reception. Any recommendations? Also, the theme is picnic/country-style, with light purple bridesmaid dresses, gingham cloth, daisies, etc. I’d like to keep it simple, yet elegant. My dress has a train, although it doesn’t have much beading or embroidery and is quite simple (yet elegant!)

Big Bear Lake’s water use is also public unlike Lake Arrowhead which has limited access.

You can launch your boat for free and park your car for free and go fishing all day long. Big Bear Lake has some massive fish swimming around in its deep blue water. And the city is continuously refreshing the fish supply ever new season.

Big Bear Lake, CA is an amazing place to have a home for vacation or permanent residence. I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful valley community nestled in the San Bernadino Mountains.

Please visit any time ou have the chance and you will see just what I mean. You might love it so much that you want to live up here for good. Big Bear Lake is always happy to welcome a new neighbor.
